Recently I have learned that students have been being told by other teachers, that they should not roll the neck clockwise or counter clockwise to strech it out. I have never herd of this before but brings concern to my lessons. How should the Neck be properly streched and if anyone has any special techniques to streching the neck I need to know them so i may address this concern. thank you

This is correct Rolling the neck around clockwise is not a effective way to stretch the neck out. It could also cause injury. Try having your students stand up relaxing their body and gently tilting their heads foward an then do the same backwards and side to side. You want to make sure they do it in slow controlled movements.

stretching side to side or front to back is ok, it is just the circlular motion that is not good for the neck.

From my knowledge I believe 180 degree rotation from ear to ear backward is proper stretching. But all 360 degree rotation should be strongly avoided.
